Personal Data: A decorated veteran of the US Military, the man who would become known as Cobra Commander came home and started selling used cars. The Commander was married and had a son. One day the Commander was visited by government agents and was informed that his business was not in compliance with

certain laws and regulations. The government took what was theirs and basically

destroyed his business. During this hard time his wife left him and took their son with

her. She moved in with her divorce lawyer but would not marry the man so that her former husband had to continue to pay child support. Through all these events the Commander decided to take drastic measures. He destroyed his dealership by setting it ablaze and made it appear that he died in that fire. The man he was, was now gone.

Over the next several years the Commander began recruiting people to serve in his new crusade against the US government. These people ranged from the down trodden to millionaires who began funding his organization. Also during this time he began inserting people into strong political positions in Washington D.C.

He also recruited the services of Tommy Arashikage (AKA Storm Shadow), the arms dealer James McCullen (AKA Destro), McCullen’s associate Anastasia (AKA The Baroness), the mercenary Major Sebastian Bludd, the mysterious master of disguise Zartan and the assassin Firefly.

In a bold move, and to prove his power to his new associates, Cobra Commander launched several coordinated attacks against the United States and its government in the Commander’s war to bring power and money back into the hands of the people.
