Well then, there's only one thing left to say.

PISTOLS!
At Dawn!

Choose your weapon sir!

*scans the thread again*

Hmmm, I better get some more pistols....

Actually...pistols are kinda hard to come by in Japan, I guess we'll have to settle for agreeing to disagree.
:)

Howsabout those little paper throwing stars?

Letsee, do I still know how to make them?

Hmm, no.

Lawn darts?

I tell people here in Japan about that game and they are both shocked and amazed they ever let kids play with it. Some of the old timers ask me where they can get a few sets.

You know everytime I read a Hama story, it just feels right, the story telling, the characters, the humor. I love Storm Shadow, it's a great read, but I too think the art sucks. It's just too sketchy and loose, and half the time I just read the dialog and move on with out looking.

Exactly right! I agree wholeheartedly. For one thing, this penciller makes Tommy look too much like Bruce Lee. On top of that, the lack of an inker adds to the sloppyness of the art. For the love of god, DDP, hire some inkers!!!

The storytelling is pure, solid, unadulterated perfection. Larry Hama is a master storyteller.

i just finished reading storm shadow 1-3 yet again and finally came to realize JUST how much i enjoy this series and its direction. larry hama is at his n'th man best. the sense of humor, irony, and all-around fun of larry's scripting is VERY evident here. the pacing is spectacular and the way in which mark robinson interprets hama's writings and ideas is truely fun to watch and/or read. i pray to the almighty morning star that sales will continue to remain steady and on an upward turn. i would love to see this series, with its current creative team intact, march way past the 16th issue. the rinse cycle of storm shadow compliments the epic storytelling of world war three quite well. when does issue 4 hit stands? does anyone have the insider by the ear?
off to bed...

I usually either buy the TPBs or the single issues but never both but with this title I am buying both!

a first for me

So how did Stormy get captured?

At the end of Issue #2 he was walking out of the Square with the Russian uniform on....then he is hanging from a rope at the start of Issue #3.

Maybe we should assume he allowed himself to get captured?

BTW > I love this book. Too bad they canceled it.
The writing was fantastic and I actually like the interior art but don't care for any of the covers. I also don't care for his uniform that much.

Stormy's 'claws' have to go. A character as good as Storm Shadow shouldn't be copying other characters (Wolverine).
