I'm flashing back to the art Atkins posted somewhere of Baroness and Storm Shadow driving some sort of transport full of Cobra Troopers and attacking a Joe convoy, and I'm wondering how that'll play since Cobra's reveal is supposed to be a mysterious build-up.

But that cover is pretty slick.

Robert said those pages won't be used now.

The color of the cover seems to match Phil's avatar pretty well.

Doing some digging, apparently the Adam Hughes incentive cover is the one that Hasbro wouldn't allow back in the day.

Go figure....

From what I've read in the solicitation text and the Ryall blog is that the Adam Hughes cover is one of the 50/50 variants, not an incentive. So at least it should be easy to come by!

So I would assume that since Snake-Eyes isn't a bad guy, this maybe the introduction of Snake-Eyes to the teamand preobably how he is recruited to the team.

And it sounds like the the team is way more an evolving kind of process then the original was where they were all recruited together.

A good idea. But it also means that if Snake-Eyesi s introduced in Issue #2 that his role in Origins should be limited.

this is all just me guessing based on the soliciations

Wow! The Adam Hughes cover thing is a HUGE surprise. I wonder how that happened? It also sounds interesting that the Joe team may be facing old SE to get to Destro. Knowing how things go in the world of comics I am sure he has a specific reason and not because SE is a bad guy in the new series. I am sure that would cause an uproar in the fan community. Sounds like a great 2nd issue.

That is kind of worrisome, in the sense that if we like how things are going now, suddenly, the rules will change and they won't be able to do what there are doing in mid-story or whatever. Hopefully Hasbro won't be inconsistant with their standards.

And since DDP paid Hughes to do that cover, that realy sticks it to them doesn't it? Bad timing award.

I'm bummed by this news. I really liked those pages. The concept of Cobra HISS tanks taking out a convoy of Humvees is pretty cool. Oh well, I'm sure Dixon and Atkins will have a lot of cool scenarios for us when the series begins.
