I really liked the 0 issue.
Much better than the Spooks limited.
I wonder if Larry Had more creative control in Omega Team than the regular book?

The plot in the 1st one definitely felt like a movie, and sadly that is not to its credit.
The dialogue was great, but the story was merely good.

Omega Team had a rougher dirtier feel.
And I liked it a lot!

SPOOKS was a screenplay before it became a comic book, so your hunch is correct.

Hopefully Ryan (Schiffrin) will be able to get SPOOKS on the big screen.

SPOOKS Omega Team is basiclly a blank slate for Larry to play with. Ryan is still the "license" holder, but since he is a horror movie writer, I imagine he will be very open to what Larry has to write.

Also...apparently Adam Archer (the artist for SPOOKS, and SPOOKS Omega Team #0) will be coming back as of Omega Team #2. I got nothing buy love for Tim, but I really liked Adam's art in the SPOOKS book.

Ah-ha, knew there was a movie script in the mix somewhee I just didn;t know it was on that end of the chaion.
got it.

See, I expected #4 to start off with something along the lines of two medics arguing over giving the Chief(whose, name I have forgotten, 4 issues doesn't stick in my memory like it did when I was 12) some sort of vampire body search or blood test or something.

I mean it only makes sense to test somebody held captive by vampires, and Larry wouldn't normally miss a beat like that. But they did a lame last page 'reveal'. As if the line 'You look a little pale' at the end of 3 meant anything but him being a vampire.

Don't get me wrong I liked Spooks, a lot, but Omega Team is more my speed- fast, brutal, and merciless.

It was pretty good, but I think the zero issue was better.

With the red painted vehicles I was thinking Hasbro toy tie in. Has anyone started making Spooks custom figures yet?

I'm sure someone is working on them.

The issue was good, I actually enjoyed it more then issue #0. I enjoyed seeing the interaction with the regular US forces and the team starting to put together the puzzle that they opened.

While issue #0 was a good stand alone, I like seeing a story that leaves me wanting to know what is going to happen next.

Oh....and those eyes on the second to last page really freaked me out....

Becuase of the way I get my comics delivered I only got to read this one today; but boy was it worth the wait.

I thought this issue was classic Larry Hama action. DX was already my favourite SPOOKS agent before I even read the #0 issue because of that great visual; but now he's got the potential to be as cool as Larry's versions of Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow and Wolverine. I love the way that character is played against type - you've got that creepy faceless visual and despite him being a pretty weird bastard, he makes crappy puns and funny jokes and is still a badass.

Roll on the next issue.

P.S. Nice site you got here, Phil.
