I want to get them all someday. How many is there?

I think thiers 82 total, but not sure.
I have seen copies with all the dic series and the exterme series added.
The movie counted as one aswell.
So my buddy has them all and I will find out.

I read that Hasbro has thought about getting the cartoons back out and available because of the upcoming movie. (It's called merchandising. Where all the money is made from movies. Crap movies included. ) The Kid Rhino releases were butchered from what I hear and that's why I think fans are pushing for a rerelease. Don't jump on the bootlegs you see offered online from a lot of people and wait for official box sets. Quality bootlegs are hard to come by and NEVER look as good as offical releases dispite a cheaper price. Remember you get what you pay for right? However...there is a possibility of sales not being good enough to see them all released. That's why Kid Rhino stopped doing them before getting to the DIC or Extreme series episodes. Give it time I am sure Hasbro will get them out again. Have patience you old padawan... Still learning are you? HMMMMM... yes. I think so...

The Wikipedia GI JOE A Real American Hero entry lists 95 episodes for the Marvel-Sunbow run , with 44 for the DIC series, then there's 26 for the 2 seasons of Sigma Six, and there's Spy Troops & Valor Vs. Venom, plus GI Joe Resolute w/c they say will have 5 10 minute episodes. That totals 177 episodes, counting GI Joe the Movie in 5 parts as it was released for syndication. Hope this helps.
