Longest 5 second fuse ever! And that sure looked like Breaker kicking the grenade instead of Duke. Still I love it! Classic Hama style action. I don't know that it gets any better!

Not to bash the main title, God knows that there is enough of that going on, and I happen to like it a lot. But you can't even put it (the main title) in the same category as Origins. Origins is just a a way better G.I. Joe story. Dixon needs to take some lessons from Hama on how G.I. Joe should be written. Hama can tell more in 5 pages than Dixon can in a whole book.

This is why Hama should be on the main title.
Instead, the main writer is now on Origins?!?

Man, how many times is it gonna hafta be repeated until it sinks in?
Dixon is doing 2-3 issues then Hama again for 2-3 issues, then after that they haven't said.

Oh cool! Where was this said, Hebime, do you have a link? I've been a little away from the boards this summer.

This is from IDW's website
G.I. JOE: Origins #6 and #7 put the spotlight on Scarlett and Mainframe, respectively. Writer Chuck Dixon focuses on these two important characters, adding another layer to the main G.I. JOE ongoing series. Starting with issue #8, Larry Hama returns to G.I. JOE: Origins for three issues of action-packed missions! "There are literally hundreds of great stories to tell in Origins that take place before G.I. JOE and COBRA ever met, and that's exactly what you'll get in the book," said Schmidt.

How is it that no one is talking about this issue? Didn't anyone else get it?
I thought it was great! I won't spoil anything, but we find out how SE's face got messed up - yes, there is more than we've seen - and they way it all went down I thought was awesome! We also see why Scarlett starts to get feelings for SE. Chimeras evil plot was pretty cool and left the team (Duke) with a tough choice.

I got this issue, and it rocked! Great way first arc. I just wish Hama could continue on without the Dixson break, but oh well. I can't wait until Hama can do the next arc.

Read it. Liked it.
Did anyone laugh when Snake-Eyes face was burned? I tell you no matter the continuity, Scarlett is hazardous to SE's health.

This issue and the 4 previous issues just proves that Larry Hama really is a great writer.
Forget it is a restart of something he created 25 years.
Forget that it is even a comic book.
Just the stories he comes up with are really well crafted.
We are seeing Joe recreated now with many of the same exact stuff we saw before, but this time the spin on it is really great. And this time around since it is planned instead of evolved. It rocks.
I love the Cobra book. But now that Hama's first arc is done, I think Origins is the best of the 3. And the art in Origins has really been great. Road Duty & Rock 'n' Roll have awesome and powerful as they should be.
And Brandon is right where is everyone's opinion???
