Free Comic Book Day - GIJoe 155 1/2

Talked about it at some length a while back ... but having re-read 155 1/2 to prep for 156 (so good) I find it scary how "Classic Hama" Cobra Commander, filtered through modern perceptions of corporate CEOs and educated terrorist leaders is so on-the-nail.

Turning Cobra into Blackwater is something (Granted, it was slightly more believable and logical to see the Crimson Guards as Cobra's Blackwater-style private security firm front/private army in G.I. Joe: Cobra, with Tomax & Xamot as the brains behind that operation ... but it's still scary and awesome to see.)

Now we see the results of his Phase 2 operation ... and it involves sending assassins or snipers to kill Joes, or sending ninjas to TRY to kill Snake Eyes. The Jugglers have clearly sold G.I. Joe out in a big way. So whether this "generation" of Jugglers pays now, or they're the same guys who pay later in DDP by being exterminated by a double agent in their ranks ... it's good to hate the Jugglers (and by way of the Jugglers, the military-industrial complex).
