I was looking at them on Amazon the other day. I will definitely be picking up the first two, but will pass on the last one as I have the entire Image/DDP run.

I am going the other way. Skipping the weak remastered IDW Marvel collections and buying the DDP "Disavowed" stuff. Simply to have every issue collected that DDP did not collect and to have them in order with no editing.

What I find funny is that for

Classic Volume #6 they are using the cover from Image/DDP #1

For Classic Volume #7 Image/DDP #21

For Classic Volume #8 Image/DDP #2

And for the actual Image/DDP run comics they are using Cover #3.

There sure doesn't seem to be an rime or reason to the cover choices, especially since they are using the two different publishers cover/content.

None except the fact that they are all J.Scott Campbell covers so far.

Yeah, the cover choices for the main series TPBs continue to be horrible. As you say Hellstrom, it seems they're determined to continue with Campbell covers. Are there enough Campbell Joe pieces to cover the full run? God I hope not.
At least the Special Missions cover is a great choice! I always liked that cover. Plus it has Recondo on it so it's a winner! Why they don't do this for the regular series is beyond me.

Well there is only one more of the original first four issues left. Then what are they going to do.

The Special Missions cover is a very good choice. I bet when they get to volume #9 they use a Marvel cover =. Which then really makes no sense.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but seeing those covers (which have nothing to do with the main Marvel series), actually does not inspire me to buy these trades...

Well I'll definately not judge these books by their covers, however I really wish IDW would have, at the minimum, choosen the best cover from each 10 issue series and used it for the trade cover.

They even could have done a poll so the fans could choose.

Doesn't look like Classic Volume 8 is coming out in May after all... anybody saw it on a list somewhere?

Huh, weird, I didn't see it on the release list last week either. But I didn't make it to my comic shop either, so maybe it's sitting in my pullbox. Cool!

Bought Classic Joe volume 8 and loved it! A big improvement over all the spelling mistakes that were in volume 7
